Statement on the Court Decision in Favor of the City of Chamblee

Atlanta, GA, October 23, 2014. The Georgia Court of Appeals today ruled unanimously in favor of the City of Chamblee in the case concerning Brookhaven's attempted annexation of the Highwoods Properties.

"I commend the Court for unanimously ruling in favor of the City of Chamblee and making the right decision," said State Representative Scott Holcomb (D-81). "This decision respects the outcome of the referendum approved by the voters in 2013. I see no basis for any further appeals, and I hope none are filed. It is time for both cities to move forward planning their futures and I wish them well."
